Dita Von Teese and ARTDECO cosmetics launch a signature makeup collection

Am thrilled to tell all my makeup friends and followers that Burlesque Beauty and Modern Pinup Dita Von Teese will be launching her very own signature makeup collection later this year!

In collaboration with ARTDECO cosmetics, her collection features signature products inspired and motivated by cosmetics she personally wants in her makeup kit.  The timeless range is a complete collection of every cosmetic a lady needs to lay on the glamour...  from luxurious lipsticks, to classic muted eyeshadows, complete with signature strip lashes!

In this promotional photograph Dita wears her Velvet lipstick in 'Follies Pink'.  I will definitely be adding some of these cult cosmetics to my professional makeup kitX

'Viva Bettie'

Last night me and my darling friend Miss Shanelle got to enjoy the delights of the Australian Burlesque Festival event 'The Big Tease' and what a show it was!  The sell-out crowd were marveled by intoxicating performances by High Class Burlesque acts from here and abroad.  My stand-out performers were international acts LouLou D'vil, and danger girl Anna Fur Laxis, who performed her acclaimed Bettie Page tribute act 'Viva Bettie'.  The standards were high, and everybody looked amazing.  Am most inspired to add a little more shimmer and sparkle to my makeup kit!

The Biggest Tease!

I just bought myself tickets to the Australian Burlesque Festival event 'The Big Tease' here in Melbourne, and I am counting down the days until the opportunity to get dolled-up and hit the town for this Burlesque extravaganza!!  Am particularly dying to see the performance by Burlesque Beauty Anna Fur Laxis.  It is certain to impress.  How I love being inspired by creativity and surrounded by beauty, and Burlesque celebrates bothX

For the love of vintage

What is your favored era for Vintage Makeup Artistry?  My personal favorites are the ultra-feminine stylings of the 1950's, and classic Old-Hollywood Glamour.  Both these era's had iconic 'looks', and are  seasonally replicated on fashions catwalkX

Dropdead, Gorgeous Jungle Girl

I have been fortunate enough to be in a really inspired and creative place in the present, and for that I'm thankful.  Visions of Vintage Inspired Beauty looks abound and currently I am particularly drawn to 1950's B-grade Tropical Tiki and Jungle Girl Exotica.  This afternoon I purchased the Dropdead Couture Blingbone in Babypink (as modelled above by Makeup Artist/Pinup Micheline Pitt) and I look forward to featuring it in an upcoming beauty shoot thematically similar to the photograph below.  Purr!X
